I find mine to start extremely easily. I need no choke or throttle - just thumb the start and it turns over and starts idling smoothly right away. I've seen some people complain that the Savage takes a while to warm-up and idle smoothly but I've never had that problem.

I ride mine to work daily, and I think that makes a big difference. If I haven't rode my motorcycle for more than a couple of days, then I usually have to crank it over for a few seconds before the engine catches.

If it sits a really long time (say a couple weeks or more) than I have to prime the carb and wait a few minutes before it will start.
